Preview

It has been one of those seasons for Yorkshire where nothing seems to be going their way. They’d actually feel fortunate that three of their games were washed out which helped them gain some important points. In nine games so far, the team has only managed to win once. Yet, because of the points that were shared in some of the games, they still stand a chance to turn things around in the next five games.

They will play hosts to Durham in the upcoming North group game and it is important for them to gain some confidence back. If Yorkshire manages to win a game or two in a row, it will tighten up the competition in the group much more. However, Durham also desperately needs a few victories. They haven’t been one of the most consistent teams around and there are some amends to be made.

Weather Report

From 6 PM to 8 PM, the chances of rain hover between 79 per cent and 58 per cent. Things are expected to get slightly better as the night progresses. Thus, they could be a delayed start and a few over might also be lost.

Pitch Condition/Report:

If the batsmen manage to get their eye in, there can’t be a better venue than Leeds. However, it is crucial to be highly selective with the shots rather than throwing their hands at everything.

Average first innings score: 165.84 (Last 13 completed games in the T20 Blast 2019)

Record of chasing teams: Won – 6, Lost – 7, Tied – 0
