It has been a terrible season thus far for both Essex and Glamorgan in the T20 Blast 2019. The former did slightly better than the latter and thus is placed seventh on the points table. However, Glamorgan hasn’t won a single game thus far in the tournament. They lost six games and have opened their account courtesy the games that were washed out and the one game that ended in a tie.
At this stage of the tournament, the chances of them making into the knockouts are sleek. Yet, they can try and get some wins under their belt to fancy an outside opportunity. The pride is at stake for Glamorgan and they will be desirous for a victory in the upcoming fixture.
The chances of precipitation are quite high throughout the duration of the game. If we are lucky enough, we might get to see a few overs of game possible later in the night.
It is a good cricketing deck at the County Ground in Chelmsford. The balance between the bat and the ball has been quite even. There were occasions when teams were bowled out for paltry scores which there were a few other instances when teams scored in excess of 200.
Average first innings score: 165.84 (Last 13 completed games in the T20 Blast 2019)
