Glamorgan will tour Cheltenham to face Gloucestershire in the T20 Blast following their defeat to Somerset on the opening day of the tournament. Openers Jeremy Lawlor and David Lloyd added 88 for the opening wicket in only 8.5 overs. In the next ten overs, they managed to score only 57. However, Colin Ingram raced to 28-ball 50* as he hit six consecutive boundaries from being 18 off 22. Somerset chased down the target of 181 for the loss of two wickets and two overs to spare.

Gloucestershire, on the other hand, completed a thrilling win against Leicestershire in the County Championship which served them as a warm-up for the T20 Blast. Late efforts with the ball from the hosts set them a target of 48 runs from 8 overs. Gloucester were three down for 24 in 5.5 overs and needed 24 from only 13 deliveries.
