The South Group game in the Vitality T20 Blast 2019 will be played between Kent and Sussex at the St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury.
The match starts at 7:00 PM local time (11:30 PM IST) (6:00 PM GMT).
Kent will be playing Sussex in the upcoming South group encounter. Both these teams have been playing great cricket in the T20 Blast 2019 and are in the top four from the South group. Sussex has played eight games thus far in the tournament and is yet to lose a game. The team seems to be really well balanced and is quite strong on the paper.
On the other hand, Kent lost three games out of ten. These two teams are differentiated by only 1 point and will be fighting it out for the top spot on the points table. Things might get slightly hectic for Sussex as they will be playing games on back-to-back days. Kent, on the other hand, has had a good amount of break and will come out fresh into this encounter.
While there won’t be a great deal of rain in the earlier parts of the day, it is expected to pick up heavily in the evening. Thus, this match, in all likelihood, could be washed out and the teams might have to share the points.
Two full games of cricket were played at Canterbury this season. Its been a while since the last match was played at this venue as the previous match between Kent and Glamorgan was washed out. The pitch has been under the covers for a while now and thus it is tough to analyse the behaviour. There might be something on offer for the bowlers.
Average first innings score: 165.84 (Last 13 completed games in the T20 Blast 2019)
Record of chasing teams: Won – 6, Lost – 7, Tied – 0

The wicket-taking ability of Adam Milne and Hardus Viljoen makes them must in the fantasy team. With the uncertainity over which Sussex players will be in the line-up, picking up both these Kent pacers will be a safe choice.
Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:
Captain – Daniel Bell-Drummond, Philip Salt, Mohammad Nabi
Vice-captain – Luke Wright, Zak Crawley, Laurie Evans, Hardus Viljoen
Daniel Bell-Drummond has attained consistency and is expected to be among the top performers.
Suggested Playing XI No.1 for Fantasy Cricket:
Keeper – Sam Billings, Alex Carey
Batters – Daniel Bell-Drummond (C), Zak Crawley, Laurie Evans, Philip Salt (VC)
All-Rounders – Mohammad Nabi, David Wiese
Bowlers – Adam Milne, Hardus Viljoen, Reece Topley
Suggested Playing XI No.2 for Fantasy Cricket:
Keeper – Alex Carey
Batters – Daniel Bell-Drummond, Zak Crawley, Luke Wright (VC), Philip Salt

Sussex’s rotation policy of the pacers has extended to the spinners too as Ollie Thompson was left out for Will Beer on Thursday. Picking the Fantasy team before the toss won’t be an ideal move in these circumstances.
With the way Sussex is playing at the moment, they are clearly the favourites to win the match.
