Sunrisers Hyderabad are now sitting comfortable at the third position in the table with 8 points from their 6 games. The team has won their last two matches and looks in a very good shape. They take on the Rising Pune Supergiant today who are right at the bottom of the table with just 4 points against their name.

Former Rising Pune Supergiant captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has not been able to produce runs in the tenth season of the Indian Premier League as he has just managed to score 61 runs in his five outings so far. Dhoni has been a huge run-getter in the shorter version of the game and has dominated the bowlers in the IPL over the years.

He is best known for his finishing abilities but somehow has not been able to get the better of the bowlers this season. However, Sunrisers Hyderabad mentor VVS Laxman says that the team would not commit the mistake of taking the World Cup winning captain lightly as he possesses the capability of changing the scenario of a game within seconds.

Laxman told India Today, “Dhoni is an exceptional talent. He’s a match winner and we will not take him lightly. Even a thought will never come in my mind to take Dhoni lightly”

The former India batsman also looked delighted with the fact that Sunrisers had a wonderful start to their campaign. He feels that now with the new players in the team, the side is well equipped to beat any side in any condition.

“Yes, it’s been a very good start for the Sunrisers. Definitely, winning the championship last year has given the confidence that we can beat any side, at any situation and in any condition. Also, the new recruits in the team gave us the luxury to pick various combination as far as the playing XI is concerned.”
