Wahab Riaz has been inducted into the list of players who will be receiving a prize money of Rs. 10 Million from the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Nawaz Sharif. The fast bowler’s name was not a part of the list which was submitted before and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) sent a revised notification to the government. The Pakistani government has announced a prize money of Rs. 10 Million for all the players for winning the ICC Champions Trophy 2017.

The revised list of players who will receive ten million each include Azhar Ali, Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Hafeez, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Imad Wasim, Junaid Khan, Mohammad Amir, Hassan Ali, Ahmed Shahzad, Haris Sohail, Ruman Rais, Wahab Riaz and Faheem Ashraf.

“Wahab’s name was missing from the initial notification and on PCB’s recommendation his name was included in the list of players who will receive Rs 10 million each,” said an official as per Geo.tv. “Total number of players who would receive the prize money is now 16,” he added.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be distributing the cheques to all the players and the support staff in a special ceremony which will be conducted at the PM House on 5th July.
