Wasim Akram’s makeover bewilders his wife

Former Pakistan legend Wasim Akram recently tweeted a picture of him and Shoaib Akhtar in an interesting avatar. Both fast bowlers were seen donning the avatars of Maula Jatt and his nemesis Noori Natt from the 1979 Punjabi cult classic. Akram posted this picture to promote the duo’s upcoming show Geo Khelo Pakistan.

Akram’s wife has responded to the tweet in a humorous manner. Wasim turned up home after the promotional shoot and his ‘makeover’ stunned wife Shaniera. She tweeted a picture of him and hubby Akram in the kitchen with a bewildered look on her face. Shaniera totally confused with Akram’s different avatar

She followed it up with another tweet in which she posted the picture of how Akram had come home. “So you can imagine how confused I was when this guy came home from work yesterday, instead of Wasim” she captioned the tweet as.

One of the fans of the great fast bowler suggested Shaniera don the avatar of Mukkho Jatti. Shaniera then posted the picture of the character to Wasim’s handle asking for her husband’s advice.

Wasim Akram last played for Pakistan in the 2003 World Cup. In an 18-year career, the left-arm seamer represented Pakistan in 104 Tests picking 414 wickets. He retired from the ODI format being the highest wicket taker at that time with 502 sticks in 356 games.

Since his cricket career came to an end, Wasim has commentated for major sports channels and has also appeared as an analysis on numerous occasions. Akram is now set to launch his show ‘Geo Khelo Pakistan’ with his former teammate Shoaib Akhtar.
