Ever since Wasim Jaffer has arrived on social media, especially Twitter, his fan following has increased in a tremendous fashion. Before his Twitter account and tweets came along, no one had any clue about the sense of humor of this man. He regularly uploads memes on Twitter related to cricket, some of which are absolutely hilarious.

He uploaded another meme on Twitter on Monday in which he addressed the recent selection problem which India might go through for their series against England. Shubman Gill, who was selected for the Indian team as the first-choice opener for the five-match Test series against England, has now been ruled out due to an injury.

With Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul present with the touring party, it is likely that either of the two Karnataka players will be seen opening with Rohit Sharma in the first Test against England in Nottingham in early August. India also has Bengal batsman Abhimanyu Easwaran in the side as a reserve choice.

Despite Shaw, Rahul, and Easwaran in contention, Mayank Agarwal is likely to replace Gill

However, there have been speculations that Prithvi Shaw could fly to England for India to keep all their options open. The only problem is that Shaw is currently in Sri Lanka where he is touted to play in the limited overs series which ends on July 25. With the current quarantine rules in place in the United Kingdom, Shaw could be sent there but will not join the team until 14 days after his arrival.

With that being said, Jaffer explained this situation with a meme. The meme which was shared by the former Mumbai batsman had an iconic image of Ajay Devgn standing with his feet on two different motorbikes. The scene is from the actor’s debut movie ‘Phool Aur Kaante’, which over the years has become a popular meme. Jaffer wished Shaw to do well in both series while explaining his situation with the use of the meme.

On that note, it should be said that Agarwal is the firm favorite to replace Gill in India’s playing XI. Agarwal had cemented his place in the Indian Test XI with some brilliant performances at home in 2019. However, a couple of low scores in Australia saw him lose his spot to Gill.
