Watch: Andy Bichel rolls out Sachin Tendulkar’s off-stump: In the eras of 2000s whenever there was a match between India and Australia in limited overs cricket; it was epitomized as the fierce battle between wrath of Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar and Australians after his famous Desert storm heroics which even gave sleepless nights to the Australian spin wizard Shane Warne.

Sachin Tendulkar is hailed as a divinely figure in India for some reasons. At that time, it was like if the master blaster gets out, the half of the Indian team is done. Such was the majesty and aura of this Indian legend.

Today, we take you back in the memory lanes to the turning point of the TVS Cup tri-series final match played between India and Australia at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Indians were chasing 236 runs and were going strong in the chase with 99/2. Sachin was batting at 45 and it seemed it would be a cakewalk for the Sachin to triumph his team to victory considering his exceptional form in the series.

But, then the inevitable happened as Andy Bichel wrecked the Indian chase when he slaughtered the off-stump of Sachin Tendulkar to silence the jam-packed Kolkata ground. India subsequently lost the match due to Bichel’s brilliance. When Sachin is in full flow, very few have the capacity and endeavor to deceive him in such an astounding way. In that delivery, Bichel bent his back and hit the deck hard and the ball seamed in sharply. Tendulkar was caught on the crease and his feet didn’t move as quickly as usual when he tried to drive the ball.

It was more of a moral victory for Bichel to have deceived the master blaster and send his stumps for a roll.
