Watch: Anil Kumble bowls to Ajinkya Rahane in the nets

Indian coach Anil Kumble has taken over the charge of the team and wants to make sure everything goes like he has planned. After the tough conditioning camp in India, he made sure there have been at least a couple of good team bonding sessions so that the team develops a connection before they take field in the series against West Indies. They had a day off and the entire team went off to visit islands in Nevis.

Come Thursday and the boys are back to business. During a training session, he took the bowling charge himself and had batsman Cheteshwar Pujara for company. The duo was bowling at Ajinkya Rahane who the coach was probably trying to help with a particular aspect.

Despite retiring from international cricket in 2008, he was always associated with the game, either playing or mentoring in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and held various roles in the state association, BCCI and the ICC.

Kumble seems to have decided to make sure he does most of it himself. Back in the day, he himself was a handy lower-order batsman and during the first training camp with the team he made the tail-ender bat in the nets for long hours, trying to brush up their batting skills.
