Watch: CPL Big Six challenge: Kevin Pietersen v Chris Gayle: Have you ever wondered, what would happen when fire meets fire? That can easily be replicated on the cricket field with two of the world’s most devastatingly prodigal international giants taking on each other on the 22 yards of the Cricket field. Whenever there is a clash of titans between players like Chris Gayle and Kevin Pietersen, then the ultimate winner of the epic battle turns out to be the fans and spectators who get overwhelming pills of joy and star studded entertainment.

Although on many occasion we have enthralled this face off on cricket field. But, on the other side of the field these two are good friends. Recently, on eve of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), the duo took on each other in CPL big six hitting challenge which was for the promotion of the league as well as for funny bones. The CPL Big Six Challenge is a lighthearted contest to see which batsman can hit the ball the farthest in the six deliveries he faces.

And who can strike it bigger and better than the two of the most destructive and barbarous batters of the world- Kevin Pietersen and Chris Gayle. Chris Gayle, who is a legendary T-20 batsman, has smashed 553 sixes in 212 matches. On the other hand, Kevin Pietersen has managed to hit 101 maximums in 119 games.
Meanwhile in the Limacol Caribbean Premier League, Chris Gayle leads the Jamaica Tallawahs side while Kevin Pietersen is newly recruited to the St. Lucia Zouks.

Gayle seemed to be very vocal and confident about the challenge as he announced before the advent of the battle that he is going to win it with a creakily devilish smile on his face. Even in the midst of the challenge the boastful West Indian southpaw was seen pulling his counterpart’s leg as he trolled KP and said: “Hit the ball like a man not a girl”. If you think that was hilarious, then you are missing on what is slated to be one of the most amusing face-off ever between the two cricket players of such scrupulous caliber.
