Watch: CSA has 100 reasons to Love AB de Villiers

The Bengaluru Test between India and South Africa will certainly be remembered for being AB de Villiers’ 100^th Test match. AB de Villiers, on Saturday, became the 7^th South African player to play 100 Test matches. The modern day master of the game is loved by people all around the world. The love for this man is coming from all corners on this occasion of his 100^th test match. Recently it was former South African player Fanie de Villiers who quoted that AB will be more popular than Sachin. And now the Cricket South Africa has released a video ‘100 reasons why we love AB’ in the ‘India Tour Diaries’ section commemorating the 100 test matches of AB. The 31-year-old Proteas ODI skipper is the only player in the current squad to have played 100 matches.

The former players, the current team mates, AB’s family, friends and everybody else has something to say in the video about why they love this superman from South Africa.

The video begins with the South African test skipper HashimAmla quoting “You have been making 100s for us for the last 10 years and I thought it would be a great time for us to give you a 100.” He is followed by leggie Imran Tahir who rejoices at the fact that he loves AB simply because he does not get to bowl to him. South African golfer Louis Oosthuize says that he would never like to see AB anywhere near his game because the South Africa ODI skipper gives a serious punch to the ball. “The way you hit the ball right now, I am not giving you any shots to play in golf,” he quotes. Ashwell Prince says he loves AB because AB gives the ball a proper whack.

“It’s amazing when he walks into the field and what he is capable of doing,” exclaims Dale Steyn. Jacques Kallis is later seen quoting that AB has changed the way the batters see the game now. Former Zimbabwe cricketer and commentator PommieMbangwa gets his point right when he says “Who says he is going to be the best batsman in the world and then actually becomes that?”

Later in the video, you would find many other reasons why people love AB de Villiers. South African physio is seen saying “he has hardly ever needed any physio.” The ladies say that they love his good looks and his shy smile. Former RCB coach Ray Jennings says that AB has been a perfect role model for millions of people around the world. The words from his family members will definitely hit the strings of all hearts.
