David Miller yesterday tore apart the Australian bowlers to enable South Africa to win three in a row and pocket the five-match series. The southpaw smashed a spectacular 79 balls 118 runs to star in the victory and grab the Man of the Match. His knock was studded with ten boundaries and six sixes.

He played some riveting shots during his knock and one such hit was his six in the was the massive six on the leg side in the 47th over. Miller looked effortless and swung the bat smoothly to hit a pick-up shot off his legs. The ball was launched over the deep square leg region straight on the roof of the stadium. The ball could not be recovered a sit bounced out the stadium. The humongous blow clearly made the Proteas fans feel relieved a bit in the final tense moments.

The Proteas were slipping out the contest after the Australian spinners struck a few blows in the middle overs after De Kock, Hashim Amla and Faf du Plessis began the chase on a smooth note. Rilee Rossouw, who churned two fifties in the last two games, was a failure today and had to be satisfied with just 18 runs against his name. JP Duminy also flunked. The biggest setback was De Kock’s departure.

The chase was on but saving wickets was becoming a problem. But, then began the turnaround. Left-hander David Miller walked in and went smashing the Aussies all the way to play a blinder and eventually end the match in his team’s favor. He walked in the 24th over and had settled down perfectly to launch his onslaught, hammering the visitors till the last over to remain unconquered.
