Watch: David Warner does a MS Dhoni; hits a helicopter shot

MS Dhoni is renowned for hitting the helicopter shots. A helicopter shot landed in Hyderabad too, but this was off the bat of the Sunrisers Hyderabad skipper David Warner. Warner hit a brilliant 92 that came off just 50 balls against the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

During his knock, Warner clobbered 5 sixes in his match-winning knock. One of his sixes was a powerful helicopter that he disposed off the mid-wicket fence. Batting in the 15^th over, Warner chose his Australian team mate Kane Richardson and hit the second ball off the over for a six. Warner easily clipped a delivery towards mid-wicket and just like Dhoni’s helicopter shot, this too went for a big six.

Incidentally, he happens to be the first left-handed batsman to have hit the shot to perfection. David Warner was dismissed on 92 by Tabraiz Shamsi. David Warner has been in a scintillating form and became the leading run-getter of the season after his knock. He raced ahead of Virat Kohli in the race for the Orange Cap. After the match, David Warner had 386 runs under his belt in 7 matches at a staggering average of 77.2 with two scores in the 90s.

The Sunrisers would be hoping for their captain to continue performing the way he is doing right now. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the fortunes of SRH will rely heavily on him.

David Warner was named the Man of the Match for his knock. SRH defeated RCB by 15 runs.
