With India all set to host the next ICC World T20, scheduled to be held from March 11 to April 3 in 2016, the promotions are in full swing and who better then Indian skipper MS Dhoni to attract billions of cricket lovers across the world. Dhoni made headlines around the world when he lifted the first ever WorldT20 in 2007 in South Africa. He was a new captain that time, however, has gone on to become one of the most respected leaders in the game. His trademark hair style back then was completely different to the look the fans are accustomed to these days.

The promotional video features the India ODI and T20I skipper along his the famous hair stylist, Sapna Bhavnani. Aimed at the preparation for the mega event, the promo is fun to watch as Sapna gives the skipper weird options for a new look. Even the famous look of Malinga finds a mention as the two have a detailed conversation. The ‘mohawk hairstyle,’ that he had opted for during the IPL 2013 and which is worn by famous footballers, is an option presented but MS seems disinterested as it may invite some crowd trouble! Sapna, familiar with the usage of heavy words is asked by MS to speak in Hindi as her words seem to be bouncing above his head.

Finally comes out the ‘Mahi’ look which Dhoni’s fans loved and adored. He burst onto the cricket circuit sporting long tresses. His long hair with colored streaks won him a distinguished fan in the then Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf when India toured Pakistan in 2006. Musharraf heaped praises, in equal measure, on Dhoni’s batting and his hairstyle. Over the years, MSD has been quite liberal with his experimentation with his hair making him a real trendsetter.
