Watch: Nick Gubbins falling celebration in the Natwest T20 Blast: Last night in the Natwest T20 Blast match between Middlesex and Surrey, the spectators saw one of the funniest celebrations of all times. Nick Gubbin excited by the catch he took when Middlesex was successful in taking an early wicket had a falling celebration to add to its value. He took the catch in the third man position. Nick went on running backwards addressing the audience when he slipped and fell.

His team members had a great laugh about it for a while. The smiles were more for the fall than the joy of wicket. The match ended with Middlesex winning the T20 match ruining Surrey’s hope to qualify for the Natwest T20 Blast quarter finals hanging on a thin line.

Steven Finn, the England seamer became the reason for Middlesex’s qualification to the second round, as the pacer took 3 wickets giving away 17 runs of his 4 overs. Neil Dexter was the pick of the bowlers with 3/12 in his 4 overs spell. Middlesex went on to score 185 runs losing 5 wickets at the end of the 20^th over. The wicket-keeper John Simpson and captain Eoin Morgan scored 53 and 48 respectively. James Franklin went on to score 41 runs of just 21 deliveries. The team put up a defendable score.

On the other hand, the performance from Surrey’s end was disappointing as both the bowlers and the batsmen failed to deliver their duties. With bowlers failing to take wickets only Azhar Mahmod had two wickets under his name, but gave away 40 runs in his 4 overs spell. Jade Dernbach became the most expensive bowler with figures 1-44 in 4 overs, helping their opponents score a decent chase. The batsmen as well failed to deliver their responsibility with no big partnerships. The highest run scorer was Kumar Sangakkara with 32 off 25 deliveries.

Though, all of this was overshadowed by the fall of Nick Gubbin, no matter which side you are supporting it certainly made everyone laugh.
