Watch: One of the most freakish dismissals of the cricket history: Cricket is a wonderful sport which always has something or the other in store to serves us with hell lot of thrill and excitement. Although there are many dismissals which take place in the game but there are very few which have the audacity to leave the spectators in state of absolute laughter and joy. But when they occur people can’t help but rock and roll laughing as well as start screaming in joy. A similar incident got replicated in the Ashes series as well. We are not talking about the Men’s Ashes series which is underway right now. Rather we are talking about the Women’s Ashes series.

This incident is of an Ashes Test match played between England and Australia. England was chasing a stiff target of 263 runs. They were reeling at 80-5 much to the demise of the team’s hopes. But the Australian pacer Ellyse Perry who also holds the distinct record of being the youngest Australian ever to play senior international cricket had something even more disappointing for the hosts.

Perry had taken two wickets and now was looking in good rhythm. The English southpaw Lydia Greenway was on strike. As soon as she sighted Perry’s bouncer she knuckled down but what happened next was beyond her expectations. The ball didn’t bounced much or you can say it didn’t get up and kept following the batter downwards to kiss the top of the leg stump and helped the bails down. Perry was ecstatic at the sight of the dismissal. While Lydia Greenway couldn’t believe on what just happened. She was shocked but had to take a long walk towards the dressing room.

For all those who have watched Sachin Tendulkar getting out LBW when he ducked the bouncer of Glenn McGrath, this video is a step ahead as a bouncer gets the batters stumps rolling.
