Rahul Dravid former Indian captain and one of the most respected gentleman ‘s to have ever played the game. Rahul has been to Lord’s the home of cricket for quite a few times as a player. This time around he is here as a commentator and was the opportunity for the MCC to honor the Indian legend.

Dravid rang the bell at the stadium to mark the beginning of the 2nd Investec test between England and India. He has had fruitful memories at the particular ground, which is also one of the toughest to play on. A thorough gentleman and a great ambassador of the game Dravid is now in the league of Indian legends like Sunil Gavaskar, Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and Dilip Vengsarkar who have on previous occasion rung the bell. The tradition was introduced by MCC Chief Executive Keith Bradshaw in 2007.
