The modern-day cricket sensation in India Rishabh Pant surely packs a punch when he gets going. The Delhi youngster Pant has made giant strides in the world of cricket in the recent times. He first came into limelight during the ICC U19 World Cup last year. He hit a record fastest fifty then. Soon, he found himself plundering runs for his Ranji side Delhi this season.

With 972 runs in the edition and a top score of 308, he was absolutely unstoppable this season. He even entered the record books by hitting the fastest century in the history of Ranji Trophy – in just 48 balls. It was only a matter of time that he got his national team call-up.

Many had expected him to break into the side earlier during the Test series. Wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha was injured and hence Pant was the forerunner to replace him. However, the selectors went in with the experience of Parthiv Patel in the longer run. But the moment did arrive for Rishabh Pant. He got selected in the Indian squad for the 3 T20Is against England this month.

The kind of form he is in, he is sure to hit the ball hard and fast. He is currently plying his trade for the team Reliance 1 in the Dr. DY Patil T20 Cup 2017 in Mumbai. During the tournament, he has already made a standing impression. He had blasted 43 off 14 with 2 fours and 5 sixes in his first match in the tournament.

More recently, on the 7th day of the tournament, he hammered an unbeaten 84 off mere 34 balls with 9 fours and 6 sixes. He surely looks in red hot form. The English team must be wary of the young 19-year old Indian weapon. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently posted a short video of Rishabh Pant hitting the bat well in the nets.

They posted the video of their official Twitter handle. Pant is seen hitting and timing the ball to perfection. The last shot in the video is a picture perfect lofted shot over the bowler’s head. The craving to watch the last shot will make you glue your eyes to the video.
