Watch: Rohit Sharma gets involved in a banter with Kagiso Rabada: The first T20I between India and South Africa at Dharmasala was a run feast to say the least. The match was at its peak of excitement throughout the course of it and the fans never got a chance to be bored of anything what so ever. India, after losing the toss were put to bat by the South African skipper, Faf Du Plessis. As it happened, India managed to put up a majestic start, courtesy of some brilliant shots from Rohit Sharma.

It was in the 13th over of the innings delivered by Kagiso Rabada. Rohit Sharma was going blistering with his aggression. He had already hit Rabada for 2 sixes in that over. In the fifth delivery of the over, Rabada struck a good length delivery, slightly pitching to the shorter side and was drifting down the leg. Rohit did not manage to hit the ball and missed it.

Seeing Rohit missing the opportunity to score, Rabada opted to get involved in a banter. He straightaway started a verbal spat with Rohit, criticizing him for not being able to score from the delivery. On seeing it, Rohit replied back by asking Rabada to keep quiet as he had already cleared the ropes twice in that particular over only. However, things settled down without getting into worse.

Rohit was batting on 82 runs at that time. In the end, as it happened, Rohit Sharma scored a scintillating century and also became the Indian batsman to have scored the most number of runs in a T20I innings with 106 runs. India managed to put up a total of 199 runs on the board. In the end, with the aid of a glamorous knock from JP Duminy, South Africa went onto win the match with 3 balls to spare.

The second T20I will be held at Cuttack on the 5th of October which will be followed by the third and final T20I at Kolkata.
