Watch: Rohit Sharma thanks his fans for their wishes

‘Hitman’ Rohit Sharma, who recently wed his childhood friend Ritika Sajdeh on 13th December, is enjoying the new curve in his life. Sharma recently shared a video on Twitter with an exotic background thanking all his fans and well-wishers for the love and support they have shown towards him and wife Ritika.

Rohit said that he would like to thank everyone on behalf of Ritika and himself for making the special week even more, special. He signed off saying “Now have to go and help my wife spot a shark”

Few days back he had posted a picture on Twitter of the newly-wed couple sitting on a table, having their first meal together after marriage at a plush restaurant in Mumbai.

The stylish Mumbai batsman has his plate full when India take on Australia in the limited overs series down under next month. Rohit was named in the ODI squad and it was an automatic selection as he had a fairly successful outing in the last home series against South Africa.

Sharma was the highest Indian run-getter in the ODI series against the Proteas, scoring 255 runs in five matches at an average of 51 and strike-rate of 99.60. However, he has a point to prove in Australia as his numbers take a little dip down under. In 11 ODIs, he has scored only 364 runs at an average of 36.40 while, in three T20Is, he has managed just eight runs.

India will play Australia in five ODIs and three Twenty20 Internationals between January 12 and 31.
