Watch: Suresh Raina takes a stunner to dismiss Yadav

The Kolkata Knight Riders were struggling at 23/3 against the Gujarat Lions. To add to their woes, Gujarat Lions skipper Suresh Raina took a blinder of a catch to dismiss Suryakumar Yadav. Playing in the 5th over, Dwayne Smith bowled an incoming bouncer that rose on the batsman Yadav. The ball got too high on and Yadav tried to glide it towards to third man. In the process, all he could manage was to get the top part of his bat hit the ball. The ball went flying between the first slip Suresh Raina and wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik.

Raina was seen flying off the ground, taking a big leap and getting hold of the ball with his right hand and then twirling down on the ground. A roll followed and Raina was back on his feet in a flash celebrating the crucial wicket. The bowler and the fielders were amazed at the effort and it was all smiles for the Gujarat Lions camp.

The Gujarat Lions dugout looked at the replays and were awe-inspired with the superb effort by the skipper Suresh Raina. The team owner Keshav Bansal looked a happy man and exclaimed ‘what a catch’. Raina was greeted by his teammates at the flying effort.

Well, this is not the first time we have seen brilliance on the field by Gujarat Lions players. Recently, Brendon McCullum was also seen saving a certain boundary with a flying effort against the Delhi Daredevils. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the Lions fielders are not afraid of throwing their everything on the field.
