Watch: Sushant Singh Rajput attempts to bat like MS Dhoni

Actor Sushant Singh Rajput has been making the headlines, ever since he was picked to play the role of Indian limited-overs skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni in his biopic. The movie ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, which will be focusing on the Indian skipper’s life before he came into the limelight and is undoubtedly the most awaited film this year.

The movie is set to release on September 30. Playing the role of a cricketer is not an easy thing to do since he will even have to bat like MS Dhoni. Young Mumbai batsman Sarfaraz Khan shared a video which shows Sushant practicing the way Dhoni used to bat.

MS Dhoni: The Untold Story is directed by Neeraj Pandy. Sushant Singh Rajput plays the role of the charismatic Indian skipper while Kiara Advani plays the role of his wife Sakshi. Herry Tangri has also been cast into the role of Yuvraj Singh.

The film covers Dhoni’s successes and his entire cricketing career. It is ironic as the biopic is releasing even before MS Dhoni’s retirement. Anupam Kher and Disha Patani also make cameo appearances in the movie. Fox Star Studios serves as the primary producer of the film.

For the last few years, sports dramas are all over the Bollywood. Ever since Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013) made it big, there was quite a few films in the last 2-3 years, namely Mary Kom (2014), Hawaa Hawaai (2014), Azhar (2016) Saala Khadoos (2016) and Sultan (2016).
