Watch: VVS Laxman tries hand at Baseball in the USA: India’s legendary batsman, VVS Laxman, needs no introduction. He is widely popular for his astute placement and timing all across the field. But now he is enjoying his stint as Cricket expert and commentator since his retirement from international cricket in the year 2012. Laxman has played 134 tests and scored 8781 runs at an average of 46 with 17 tons and 56 fifities to his credit.

Over the last few days, VVS Laxman along with his former team mates is enjoying few relaxing days in the US for the 3 T20 match series between Warne’s Warriors and Sachin’s Blaster. Of course, he is representing the Blasters under the captaincy of Sachin Tendulkar. On the other hand, Warne’s Warrior’s is being led by Aussie legend Shane Warne. Many former cricketers are currently in the US for the purpose of this tournament.

Though, Sachin’s Blaster have already lost the series with their two consecutive defeats against Warriors, yet the tournament gave a few moment of solace to these former cricketers who otherwise stay busy round the clock with cricket analysis. Recently, the ace batsman VVS Laxman tried his hand at Baseball – the game which is extremely popular in the US.

The Cricket All Star League is the brain child of two legends of the game; Shane Warne and Sachin Tendulkar respectively. They initiated this tournament to popularise cricket in the land of Lincoln and Roosevelt. Interestingly, cricket has never been that much popular in this part of the world but that day is not far when the game will surely hog limelight in the US.

VVS Laxman can be seen playing baseball and trying his hand at hitting some lofted shot on the air using the standard baseball bat. His last shot hit the cameraman standing behind him. But it was a good amusing-practice session for the legend and he was still looking in fine touch. The stylish right-hander shared this video a few hours back.
