'We don’t qualify for square cut challenge after retirement' - Gautam Gambhir after Yuvraj Singh proposes to start haircut challenge

Cricketers are coming out with some innovative ideas to spend their time while in quarantine. And, Yuvraj Singh, who remains quite active on social media, looks to introduce a new challenge. And, out of nowhere Gautam Gambhir, the former World Cup-winner came out with his hilarious opinion saying now they both are not fit to qualify for that challenge

Earlier, players like Rohit Sharma, Kevin Pietersen, and Yuvraj Singh were spotted spreading awareness about Coronavirus across social media. Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer and Smriti Mandhana conducted a Question & Answer round-up with the fans. All the players did so to spend their quarantine time in the lockdown wisely.

‘I should probably start a Haircut Challenge’: Yuvraj Singh

And now, Yuvraj Singh looks to introduce a new but a fun challenge in the upcoming days. He took to his official Twitter handle and said that it is the right time, to begin with a haircut challenge. His post read, “probably I should start a #HaircutChallenge.”

And soon, Gautam Gambhir, the former World Cup winner came across the post. The left-hander soon came out with a hilarious reply and said that now they have bid adieu to international cricket and it has been long they have played any competitive game.

At the moment, they are not capable of taking a square-cut challenge in which the player has to share a clip of a perfect square cut on social media platforms. According to Gambhir, post their retirement, they can opt for the haircut challenge instead of the squarecut challenge. The 38-year-old wrote, “Spot on Prince. I think now post-retirement we don’t qualify for #squarecutchallenge let’s stick to #HaircutChallenge only.”

India is currently under a 21-day lockdown and Gambhir has urged government officials to take strict actions against the people roaming in the streets in these stiff conditions. Moreover, on social media, he requested everyone to stay inside their houses until the coronavirus situation subsides.
