The governments of different countries have requested the people not to do social mass gatherings due to Coronavirus outbreak. This step from the authorities forced many people to postpone their wedding ceremonies and other important functions until further notice. Meanwhile, Ryan Sidebottom, the former pacer from England said that he was lucky to get married a couple of days before the verdict given by the government.

Ryan Sidebottom bid adieu to all forms of cricket back in 2017. He donned England jersey in 22 Tests, 25 ODIs and 18 T20Is in which he managed to grab 131 wickets across all the format. He was also the part of England cricket when they won their maiden T20 World Cup back in 2010. He has also taken a hattrick in the longer format. And, he achieved that milestone against New Zealand.

Recently, Ryan Sidebottom, the former England cricketer said that he was fortunate to celebrate their wedding ceremony as planned with no interruptions. It was a memorable day for him. However, he felt bad for the people, who had to postpone their weddings due to the outbreak of Coronavirus. Also, he backed the authorities for banning social gatherings in the country to protect the people from the killer virus.

“We feel so lucky that we were able to celebrate our wedding in the way we’d planned. It was such a wonderful day. We really feel for the people who have had to postpone. But there is a bigger picture. People’s health is more important than anything,” Ryan Sidebottom said as quoted by Hello magazine.

Liam Plunkett, the England all-rounder also attended the marriage of his dear friend. The former player got married to Maddie Costigan. Later on, his wife added the fact that the venue of the wedding was inspired by Alice in the Wonderland. It was a great day for them and their relatives that was full of fun as well as craziness.

“The venue was inspired by Alice In Wonderland. We’re full of fun and a little bit crazy. We’re those embarrassing parents,” Maddie Costigan added.
