After clinching the unofficial ODI series by a 4-1 margin, India A sealed the 3-match Test series with comfortable wins in the first two games. Their long tour will conclude when they face the West Indies A in the final unofficial Test starting on Tuesday. The game will be marked for the inclusion of the star players who will later face off during the Test series in India’s ongoing tour of the Caribbean.
West Indies A did gain an edge in the first half of the second Test but failed to capitalize. Seven out of their top eight batsmen scored 20+ but none ended up scoring a big knock. Chemar Holder ran through India A’ top order in the first essay as the visitors were reduced to 20/5 at a stage. But all went in vain as Shivam Dube’s fighting knock and Krishnappa Gowtham’s 5-fer scripted a comeback for them.
The 3rd game of the 3-match Unofficial Test series between West Indies A and India A will be hosted by the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad.
The match starts at 9:30 AM local time (1:30 PM GMT) (7:00 PM IST). The game will be streamed live on YouTube by Windes Cricket.
The Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba has hosted eight first-class matches thus far. Four of those were during the 2018/19 season. The pitches in those games were supportive for the pacers which are hardly found in the Caribbean Islands in recent times.
