Preview:
West Indies Under-19s had a mixed start to the tournament winning the first match and losing in the second. They bundled out England Under-19s to 128 in the tournament opener to defend their total of 164. In the second game, England posted 169 while batting first and won by 29 runs. The home team will now take on the Sri Lanka Under-19s on Tuesday. Sri Lankan team has some promising names in their squad but have seen failures at the U19 level. They lost the Youth ODI series against Bangladesh by 0-4 margin last month.
Weather Condition/Report:
Sri Lanka’s first game of this Tri-series is expected to be completed without any interruptions. The ground could witness clouds at regular intervals.
Pitch Condition/Report:
The Sir Viv Richards Stadium in Antigua has been a low scoring venue with totals of 160s getting defended successfully. With a couple of day gap after the first two matches, we might see a better track for the game between West Indies and Sri Lanka. Generally, the tracks here are good enough for successful chases around 240 during ODI matches.
Average first innings score: 167 (Youth ODI matches)
Record of chasing teams: Won – 0, Lost – 2
