Preview:

Australia Women’s dominance continued over the West Indies Women as they sealed the 3-match ODI series with a game still to be played. The Aussie Women missed the services of their skipper Meg Lanning which did not stop them from posting a huge total. This time, it was Ellyse Perry, who stepped up with an unbeaten hundred while three other from the top five scored half-centuries.

They finished with 308/2 in the 50 overs, exactly what they scored in the first ODI. However, the margin of result and West Indies’ performance with the bat did change from the first game. The hosts batted out 50 overs unlike the previous game and also brought down the losing margin to 151. The visitors might be led by Rachael Haynes once again as they might not risk her and keep her fresh for the T20I series.

Weather Condition/Report:

Clear weather is expected for the final match of the 3-match ODI series in Antigua. The temperatures were quite high during the 2nd ODI which made Beth Mooney feel the heat and retire hurt. Similar weather could be found during the 3rd match as well.

Pitch Condition/Report:

Australia Women’s batting fire-power did overshadow the slowness during the Women’s ODI debut at the Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua. The spinners did slow down the things during the Aussie Women innings in the middle overs but the first ten and last ten overs pushed their total to 300+.

Average 1st inning score: 308 (Women’s ODIs)
