Explosive Australian batter Glenn Maxwell has revealed that he will increase the security at his wedding after the invitation to the week-long ceremony was leaked on social media platforms. Maxwell is all set to marry his long-time girlfriend Vini Raman, who is of Indian descent, in a traditional Hindu ceremony.

Maxwell was informed by a former Indian Premier League (IPL) teammate that their wedding card has been leaked with several copies of the invite printed in the Tamil language having been making rounds on the internet. The wedding invite was shared on social media by Indian actor Kasturi Shankar and Maxwell admitted their big day would be a little more stressful now as the Tamil-speaking world knew times and venue details in Melbourne.

In a conversation with www.cricket.com.au, Maxwell said, “It was not ideal. We’ve got to get extra security for the wedding now. It was supposed to be a private event and unfortunately, the relatives over in India just got a little bit excited and decide to show a few friends. Next minute, it’s in pretty much every paper over there and I’m getting tweeted it by pretty much everyone. So that was a shock. It’s been a busy couple of days. ”

The explosive batter recently smashed 39 off 25 balls as Australia thrashed Sri Lanka by six wickets to win their third consecutive match and seal the series as well. The ‘big show’ in his innings of 39 runs smashed three boundaries and hit two huge maximums before being holed out at deep mid-wicket.

As Australia completed an easy run chase of 122 runs with three overs remaining, pacer Kane Richardson was adjudged man of the match for his splendid bowling scalping three wickets. The T20 World Cup winners will now look to complete a 5-0 whitewash against meek-looking Sri Lanka. The remaining two matches of the series will be played at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
