England Women had every chance of wrapping up their three-match T20I series against India Women with a victory in Hove. However, the Indian spinners came to the party and helped the visitors win by eight runs.

Tammy Beaumont’s half-century for the hosts went in vain. Poonam Yadav and Deepti Sharma bowled brilliantly and helped the Women in Blue draw level in the series.

The decider and the final T20I is set to be played on Wednesday, July 14 at the County Ground in Chelmsford. Overall, on the head-to-head, the Brits have always dominated India.

However, with a win in the second T20I on Sunday, Harmanpreet Kaur and Co should be brimming with confidence.

The home team, on the other hand, will be looking to make a comeback and win the series. Previously, they also beat the Mithali Raj-led India Women’s ODI team earlier this month.

The Brits may not want to make any changes in their playing eleven after only a solitary match. Tammy Beaumont has been their standout batter with 77 runs from two games.

She is fresh from scoring a half-century, though it came in a losing cause, and would be hoping to carry her form. Nat Sciver and Amy Jones haven’t disappointed either with the bat in hand.

Sciver also has two wickets in her name at an economy rate of six. For the Brits, leg-spinner Sarah Glenn has also picked up a couple of wickets. However, Sophie Ecclestone is yet to add to the wickets column.

Harleen Deol has looked promising as well. Shikha Pandey and Poonam are the leading wicket-takers for India with three scalps each. Sneh Rana is yet to get a wicket in the six overs she has bowled until now.
