13th June is the birthday of Bollywood actress Disha Patani, who turned 28 years old in 2020. She is one of the most popular stars of Bollywood in the current world. She has done several movies and starred in various commercials which have given her a huge fan following. But, she has a connection with cricket as well.
Disha rose to fame after she had success with her movie, ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ which was the biopic movie of the former Indian captain, MS Dhoni. The movie was released in 2016 and she was starred in the role of Dhoni’s ex-girlfriend, who suffered a tragic death. During one of her interviews, Disha proved how much she loves the Jharkhand-born cricketer.
During an interview with Bollywood Hungama which was shot when she was promoting the movie, the actress was told to rate the cricketers on their ‘Hotness Quotient’. She was given many players’ names for giving them a rating. A few of them were Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja. She gave a 10 out of 10 to only MS Dhoni. However, later on in the interview, she also picked up Indian skipper Virat Kohli as a ‘perfect date.’
If I had to pick a matchwinning player, it would be Jasprit Bumrah: Disha Patani
There is no way one can deny that Disha Patani is a huge cricket fan. In one of her recent interviews, she had chosen Jasprit Bumrah as the Indian team’s biggest match-winner. She had given this interview earlier this year when India was going to play New Zealand.
“If I had to pick a matchwinning player, it would be Jasprit Bumrah. He is one of the finest players we have. It will be a proud moment for all of us on February 2, while Bumrah takes down the Kiwis,” Disha had said in a promotional interview for her movie Malang.
Malang was also the last time everyone saw Disha on screen. She has a few projects lined up for now but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the shooting and release of these movies have been halted as of now.
