Yuzvendra Chahal, on Saturday, grabbed the headlines by announcing his engagement with Dhanashree Verma. Chahal, who has been quite active on Twitter as well as Instagram in recent times, shared photos of the ceremony. Similarly, Dhanashree also made the announcement along with sharing photos on her social media.
Chahal’s previous posts suggest that the India international knew his fiance for a long time. The leg-spinner’s keen followers have already spotted him commenting on Dhanashree’s posts on Instagram. Like Chahal, Dhanashree is also quite active on social media and has over 5 lakh followers on Instagram. Her profile even features videos involving many Bollywood stars as well. She also has over 1.5 million subscribers on YouTube and is a popular face on the internet.
Dhanashree’s profile tells us that she is a doctor, choreographer and a YouTuber. On her Instagram as well as YouTube, she has shared many videos of her choreographing and dancing on Bollywood songs. Dhanashree, an ardent user of social media, graduated nearly four years back.

Talking about Chahal’s cricket journey so far, he has donned the India jersey in 52 ODIs and 42 T20Is, scalping 91 and 55 wickets respectively. Yet to make his Test debut, Chahal has delivered many impressive performances for India in the limited-overs formats. He, along with Kuldeep Yadav, has been an integral part of India’s spin force.
The 30-year-old did get dropped from the T20I side last year but made a strong comeback. Chahal is all set to don the Royal Challengers Bangalore jersey in the thirteenth edition of the IPL, set to start from September 19 to November 10 in the UAE.
Amid COVID-19 pandemic, shifting the tournament to a different country altogether was the only option left in front of the BCCI. The Virat Kohli-led franchise is yet to take a decision regarding the family members and it remains to be seen if Dhanashree will travel with Chahal.
