Power couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli were spotted alongside their daughter Vamika at the Mumbai airport on June 8 (Thursday) upon their return from Maldives. The Bollywood star has been sharing pictures from the trip on social media over the last few days. And in one such post, she made a loving promise to her baby girl Vamika.
Along with a picture of Vamika’s carrier, Anushka wrote that she would carry her daughter through this world and beyond. “Will carry you through this world and the next and beyond, my life (sic),” she wrote. She also shared a snap of a picturesque sunset and also of breakfast during her vacation in the Maldives. Kohli and Anushka got married in 2017, and their daughter Vamika was born last year.
Here’s a look at the pictures shared by Anushka Sharma from their Maldives trip:
Meanwhile, Kohli, after a dismal performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, has taken a short break from cricket, ahead of India’s Test match against England in July. He is also not part of the current India squad for the ongoing Twenty20 International (T20I) series against South Africa.
Anushka Sharma to feature in Jhulan Goswami’s biopic
Meanwhile, Anushka was last seen on screen in the 2018 romance-comedy movie ‘Zero’, directed by Aanand L Rai, also featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif, which failed to make big at the box office. She is currently working on the film ‘Chakda Xpress’, a Netflix original film and a biopic of legendary India cricketer Jhulan Goswami, which is expected to release later in the year. Anushka made her Bollywood debut back in 2008 with the movie ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ and has been part of several Blockbusters ever since.
Notably, the biopic of the Indian fast bowler is based on the problems she had to face due to “misogynistic politics” during the course of her career. The biopic, directed by Prosit Roy and written by Abhishek Banerjee, also portrays Goswami’s impact on women’s cricket in India.
