Coming from a disastrous loss against Pakistan in the Champions Trophy final, India will be taking on an inexperienced Windies in a 5-match ODI series in the Caribbean Islands. The home side, who survived from a series loss recently against Afghanistan will be trying to put on their best efforts to improve their recent record over the Indians which will help them to grab few big points to help their direct qualification for the 2019 World Cup.

41 – Ravichandran Ashwin’s ODI bowling average in Windies; the 2nd lowest for him in any country where he has played at least 5 ODIs. Ashwin has taken 7 wickets in the 7 ODIs he has played so far in Windies.

131 – Yuvraj Singh’s 131 against West Indies in 2009 at Kingston is the highest individual score in ODIs by an Indian in Windies. Including Yuvraj, only four players managed to score an ODI century in Windies.

1143 – Runs Virat Kohli has scored against West Indies in ODIs; the 2nd most by him against any opposition in this format. Kohli averages 57.15 against them and has scored 3 centuries and 8 fifties.
