India haven’t had it difficult in their ongoing three-match T20I series against the Windies. The visitors stuttered a wee bit in their run-chase during the first encounter at Lauderhill, Florida, but apart from that they have been absolutely unstoppable. The power-packed Caribbean batting hasn’t been able to get hold of the Indian bowlers by any means. Virat Kohli and Co are leading the series 2-0.

After India’s win in the last game by 22 runs (DLS Method), the third match at the Providence Stadium is a dead rubber. Carlos Brathwaite’s men have lost five consecutive T20Is versus Team India. The One Day team didn’t have a great time in the World Cup and now the T20 team has been faltering, not something great for Windies cricket. They will be looking to salvage some pride in Guyana.

Match Details:

The first T20I of the three-match series between Windies and India will be played at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.

The match starts at 10:30 AM local time (8:00 PM IST) (2:30 PM GMT). This game will be live on Sony Ten 1 and Sony Ten 3 in India.

Live streaming will be available on Sony LIV.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The pitch has been batting friendly over the last few games and it has favoured the chasing teams as well. Bowlers will need to work hard for their wickets. The ground will be hosting a T20I for the maiden occasion since 2010, though Tests and ODIs have taken place at the venue.

Average first innings score: 165 (Last 5 T20s)

Record of chasing teams: Won – 4, Lost – 1

Apart from Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard, none of them in the batsman’s category has done well. One among Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan can be picked. One can also take a chance with Evin Lewis, who’s due for a big knock.

Probable Winners

India is expected to complete a clean-sweep.
