Veteran Australian cricketer Glenn Maxwell has tied knots with his long-time girlfriend Vini Raman. The same was confirmed by Vini Raman on her official Instagram handle. Raman posted a picture with her husband on social media. The duo can seen kissing each other in the wedding attire. ‘Mr and Mrs Maxwell. 18.03.2022,” read the caption of the post from Vini Raman. This post from Raman has already garnered over one Lakh likes at the time of writing.

For the unversed, Maxwell had also pulled out of Australia’s ongoing tour of Pakistan because of his marriage with his fiancee. The Aussies are slated to play three ODIs and a T20I game against the Babar Azam-led side. Meanwhile, you can see the post from Vini Raman below.

Twitter congratulates Glenn Maxwell on this wonderful occasion

Meanwhile, the Twitter world has extended its congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Maxwell. The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise, the IPL side for which Maxwell plays for, wished the Aussie all the happiness as he starts a new chapter in his life.

“The RCB family is incredibly happy for Vini Raman and Glenn Maxwell on the beginning of this new chapter in their lives. Wishing you both all the happiness and peace, Maxi,” read the tweet from the official Twitter handle of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

Apart from RCB, several other fans have also taken to Twitter to send in their good wishes to the couple. On the cricketing front, Maxwell was last seen in action during Australia’s home T20I series against Sri Lanka. In the five innings that he played in the series, the right-hander scored 138 runs at an average of 34.50.

The Australian cricketer was retained by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) side ahead of the 2022 edition of the IPL. Maxwell will draw a salary of INR 11 crores. Talking about his IPL career, the right-handed batter has featured in 97 matches in the T20 league and has scored over 2000 runs at a menacing strike rate of 151.84. He was the leading run-scorer for the RCB side in the 2021 season with 513 runs.
