World Cup 2015 Match 37 Group A New Zealand vs Bangladesh; Dress rehearsal for the knockouts:

Date: 13 March 2015        Time: 0630 IST
Venue: Hamilton

New Zealand

The Kiwis had a very comfortable win against Afghanistan and they won the match thanks to Daniel Vettori and the batting of Martin Guptill, Brendon McCullum and Kane Williamson. They now face a jubilant Bangladesh who beat England to confirm a quarterfinal spot. All of their batsmen and bowlers are in top form and McCullum could give some rest to their key players like Vettori, Milne, Elliot and Southee to bring in the some fresh blood in the team.

New Zealand batting is at its peak with Captain Brendon McCullum leading the way and Kane Williamson backing him up. They would however like Ross Taylor, Martin Guptill and Grant Elliot to have a better batting before the important knockout game against the group B qualifier. They will look to bat first if they win the toss and win the match by a big margin to have enough comfort cushions to stay at the top of the table.

Kiwis can bring in Nathan McCullum to give some rest to Vettori and bring in Mitchell McClenaghan to give rest to Corey Anderson to keep them fit and fresh for the knockout stages. Otherwise they are fit and raring to against Bangladesh.

Bangladesh

Bangladesh just created history in their last match beating England and qualifying for the knock out stages for the first time. Bangladesh should be thankful to Mahmudullah, Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan who contributed massively to that win. Now they have to face a rampaging New Zealand who have won all their matches comprehensively. Batting wise Bangladesh is golden, all of their most needed players are in touch and are capable enough to handle the New Zealand pace man. Their biggest test would be tackling Daniel Vettori, Tim Southee and the express pace of Adam Milne, who has the license to bowl as fast as he can.

The problem area for them is their bowlers. Though they rectified themselves against England, especially Rubel Hossain, they still leaked 319 runs in the match previous to England and New Zealand has a better batting than England, and that too in tremendous form.  Apart from Taskin Ahmed, Rubel and Shakib, all the others went for runs and that is something they have to rectify. The Kiwi batting is capable to rip apart this type of pedestrian bowling from Bangladesh which made England catch their flight back home.
