World cup 2015 review: Australia vs Bangladesh: Match Abandoned due to rain:
The match was supposed to start at the assigned time, but incessant rains since Friday made it impossible for the ground staff to prepare the ground or the pitch for the Australia vs. Bangladesh match here at Gabba.

Queensland was hit by Hurricanes Marcia and Lam leading to pouring rains. The rains were persistent and didn’t eve slow down at any point of time. Any hopes of a start were dashed by the news of hurricanes impacting the area surrounding the ground.

This meant that Australia and Bangladesh both get a point each and move on to their next encounters against New Zealand and Sri Lanka respectively. Though both teams would have like to play a full 5 over game, weather played its hand and no match took place.

A no-result has boosted Bangladesh’s chances of progressing from Group A, particularly after England’s dismantling by New Zealand in Wellington on Friday.

Brief Scores:
Match Abandoned due to rain.
