World Cup 2019: Former Pakistani cricketer Yasir Hameed posts a creepy picture after Pakistan’s thrilling victory

Yasir Hameed’s career was off to a promising start when he scored twin centuries of his very first Test match, becoming only the second cricketer since Lawrence Rowe. But, he failed to deliver the promise he showed early on. After finishing his cricketing career he started working as an analyst with various media houses and is now back in the news after posting a controversial post on Instagram.

On his official Instagram handle, Yasir Hameed posted a story after Pakistan’s thrilling win against Afghanistan, which was no less than a topsy-turvy ride. His story saw Sarfaraz Ahmed trying to commit suicide after getting dismissed in the 36th over via a horrendous miscommunication while running between the wickets. In this grotesque representation of self-killing, Sarfaraz was spotted dancing after Imad Wasim’s heroics.

While the cartoon collage is hilarious, it is something you don’t see an international cricketer posting and some fans on social media trolled the former Pakistani cricketer for posting it. Although the intention from the 41-year-old meant no harm, it is obvious that the fans had seen it the other way round, just the way it happens on most occasions.

Imad Wasim saves the sinking Pakistan

The Afghan spinners were clearly all over the Men in Green and it seemed like the rising stars of cricket were about to doom the hopes of millions of Pakistanis across the globe. Rashid Khan, Samiullah Shinwari and Mujeeb Ur Rahman worked very hard to bring the required rate up to 9.20 with five overs remaining. But one bad call taken by Gulbadin Naib to take up the 46th over although he had three overs of spin remaining had drowned the Afghans.

Imad Wasim, who battled wonderfully through a critical spell against Rashid Khan and Shenwari, smashed 18 runs off the 46th over which literally killed the Afghan hopes. They never got back in the game after that as Wahab Riaz too chipped in with a handy cameo to register a thrilling 3-wicket win. The dream is pretty much alive to replicate the 1992 heroics.
