The ongoing World Cup in England and Wales was expected to be competitive on the field. While it has lived up to the expectations, the tournament has also been marred by the off-field controversies. The fight between the Pakistan and Afghanistan fans during and after the match hogged the headlines. Once again now an incident from the same game is in the limelight for the wrong reasons.

An Indian woman from Juhapura was seen waving the Pakistan flag during the match. Moreover, she was heard shouting Pro Pakistan and Anti Narendra Modi slogans such as, “We hate Narendra Modi.” The lady in the video could be seen introducing herself saying that she is from Juhapura in Ahmedabad. She is also a huge fan of Chacha Cricket aka Chaudhary Abdul Jalil.

She walked into Pakistan supporters’ section along with the two children and while shouting derogatory slogans against India’s Prime Minister, she also requested Chacha Cricket for a selfie. The video has gone viral on social media now.

City crime branch investigating

After the video went viral on social media, the Ahmedabad crime branch has started to search for the lady and visited multiple locations to locate her address or any of the family members. The separate team has been summoned to approach the immigration department for more details.

Also, a senior local crime branch told the Times of India that there is a possibility that the woman could be from Ahmedabad but has settled in the United Kingdom. Apart from the woman, two Sikhs are also seen in the video with Pakistan and Khalistan flags. They started raising pro-Khalistan slogans and requested her to participate but the woman went away soon after that.

Though the match was a thriller, the off-field controversies became the talk of the town, unfortunately. Earlier in the day, an unauthorised aeroplane with ‘Justice for Balochistan‘ message flew over Headingley which led to the fans between the two countries involving in a fight outside the stadium.
