In less than a week’s time, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is set to get underway. The excitement is growing leaps and bounds for the biggest carnival in the sport of cricket. With the World Cup 1992 format being adopted this time, the fans are delighted about what’s in store. Before the commencement of the warm-up matches, all the captains met each other and interacted with the media. While the ‘Q&A’ session was quite interesting, Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed is in the headlines for different reasons.

All the captains answered various questions in this session. There were talks about the India-Pakistan battle, the possible semi-finalists. Also, the skippers were given the opportunity to choose one dream player for their team for the upcoming tournament. After this breezy and fun interaction, the ten skippers posed together with the coveted World Cup trophy.

An awkward pose Sarfaraz, isn’t it?

While the captains usually align themselves in one single straight row for these sort of pictures, it was slightly different this time. They were all placed around a sofa set for this picture with the trophy placed in front of them. It seemed as if they were asked to come up with an uber-cool pose for this photo. While all the captains were in line with the ask, Sarfaraz Ahmed was the odd one out.

Virat Kohli spread his legs across in a sofa. Kane Williamson stood adjacent to him. While Faf du Plessis sat on the side table, Eoin Morgan decided to sit on the sofa. Aaron Finch came up with a royal pose while Mashrafe Mortaza sat on the side. Jason Holder, Gulbadin Naib and Dimuth Karunaratne stood behind with a subtle smile on their faces. All these captains looked great in the picture.

However, Sarfaraz couldn’t match the other skippers. He sat on the sofa as if posing for a class photo according to one of the fans. The wicketkeeper-batsman had no smile on his face and looked quite stoned. Thus, Twitterati left no opportunity to troll him. Most of the replies on the tweet by the ICC were flooded with discussions about Sarfaraz Ahmed.

Here is how Twitterati reacted:
