South Africa finally won a game after posting 200+ in a T20I game as they defeated Afghanistan by 37 runs at Wankhede Stadium. South Africa posted a huge total of 209/5 after electing to bat first. Quinton De Kock gave yet another great start for his team while AB de Villiers’ quick fire innings lifted South Africa’s run rate.
Chasing 210 to win, Afghanistan got off to a flyer with Mohammad Shahzad scoring 44 in just 19 balls. Afghanistan were seemed to be favorites at the halfway stage but successive wickets halted their progress as they got bowled out for 172 on very last of their innings.
