South Africa settles down with a consolation win against Sri Lanka in the final league game of the World T20 2016, which had no importance as far as the points table is concerned. Sri Lankan openers gave their side a great start by scoring 45 runs by 5th over after been put into bat. But South African spinners from nowhere kept picking wickets and bowled out the opposition to just 120.

Chasing 121, South Africa lost de Kock early but Amla and du Plessis controlled the chase with a steady stand. After du Plessis departed, AB de Villiers came to the crease and finished off the things with 14 balls to spare to seal an 8-wicket win for South Africa.
