The Afghan captain Asghar Stanikzai who has the last chance to leave a mark on the tournament said: “Against England we struggled with early wickets. We’ll try our best to play good cricket. Two changes for us. Hamid Hassan and Usman Ghani are in for Shapoor and Noor Ali.”

West Indies skipper Darren Sammy after winning the toss said: “We are going to stick what we have been doing. We’ll bowl first again. A clinical performance while bowling first is what’s needed. No point trying to fix what isn’t broken. Two low totals we have been chasing, we have got stuck after powerplay. It gives opposition hope if you keep losing wickets in a chase.
