The Afghan captain Asghar Stanikzai who has the last chance to leave a mark on the tournament said: “Against England we struggled with early wickets. We’ll try our best to play good cricket. Two changes for us. Hamid Hassan and Usman Ghani are in for Shapoor and Noor Ali.”
West Indies skipper Darren Sammy after winning the toss said: “We are going to stick what we have been doing. We’ll bowl first again. A clinical performance while bowling first is what’s needed. No point trying to fix what isn’t broken. Two low totals we have been chasing, we have got stuck after powerplay. It gives opposition hope if you keep losing wickets in a chase. Very proud of the way we have played so far. But we can’t afford to slacken. Today is step no. 4. Another exciting game today and hopefully we come out on top. Chris (Gayle) is resting.”
West Indies have won the toss and have opted to bowl first in the 30th Match of Super 10 Group 1 in the World T20 2016.
