New Zealand stunned the hosts India in the opening game of Super 10 round of WT20 2016 on a rank turner. After winning the toss, Kane Williamson elected to bat and shocked everyone by dropping 3 of their best pacers and picked 3 spinners instead. India did a decent job to restrict New Zealand to 126/6 in 20 overs.

Later Williamson’s decision paid off as the New Zealand spinners ran through Indian batting line up. Except Dhoni, Kohli and Ashwin, no other player managed to score more than 5 runs. As a result, India bowled out for 79, losing their opening game by 47 runs at the VCA Stadium, Nagpur. Here we look at all the stats and records recorded during the game.
