WWC 2017, Match 27: India v New Zealand – Statistical Highlights

India Women entered the semis of the Women’s World Cup 2017 with their biggest win in the history of the tournament against the New Zealand Women side. The Indian team posted a stiff total of 265/7 with the help of a century from their captain Mithali Raj who stood as the backbone of their innings.

Harmanpreet Kaur supported Mithali by scoring a fifty after the fall of early wickets but it was a quick-fire 70 from Veda Krishnamurthy that handed India a total they can feel secure with. Rajeshwari Gayakwad picked up 5 wickets in her very first game of the tournament to wrap up the opposition for just 79 runs.
