India registered their second straight win in the Women’s World Cup with yet another all-round performance as they defeated West Indies by 7 wickets. Some brilliant bowling from the Indian spinners restricted the West Indies to 183/8 in the 50 overs. India lost a couple of early wickets but Smriti Mandhana, scoring her maiden WWC century put on a 108-run stand with captain Mithali Raj to complete their 19th win in the last 20 ODIs.

1 – Smriti Mandhana is the first Indian to receive the Player of the Match awards in consecutive Women’s World Cup matches. Previously three Indians have taken multiple players of the match awards in Women’s World Cup but none in consecutive games.

4Smriti Mandhana is only the 4th Indian player to score a century in the Women’s World Cup. Thirush Kamini, Harmanpreet Kaur and Mithali Raj are the other three players.

6 – Number of times India and West Indies have faced each other in Women’s World Cup; India won all the 6. Only New Zealand (7 vs Ireland) has won more game in WWC against a single opponent with 100% win record.
