Yasir Shah is embarrassed, says Mickey Arthur over the leg-spinner's latest Tik-Tok video

Australia whitewashed Pakistan in the recently concluded five-match ODI series in the UAE. The home team had rested a few of the key players to test out the fringe cricketers ahead of the World Cup. While some of the players did extremely well, teamwork lacked for Pakistan as they failed to win even a single match. Yasir Shah was also given an opportunity to revive his ODI career but the leg-spinner, after the series, was in the news for other hilarious reason.

Apparently, his video on Tik-Tok application went viral on social media where Yasir Shah was seen emulating one of the famous songs along with a fan. Speaking about the same, the head coach Mickey Arthur clarified that the cricketer is embarrassed about the video and it seemed as if one of the fans requested him and the Yasir obliged to do it. Arthur though wasn’t much critical about his actions.

“Yasir Shah is embarrassed about that video. I met him for 5-10 minutes at the airport last night. The [whole thing] is very innocent though,” he said while addressing the media in Lahore according to Geo TV.

Yasir Shah in ODI series

As far as his performance is concerned, Yasir Shah couldn’t stamp his authority on the Australian batsmen during any of the five matches. In the five matches, which he went on to play, the leggie accounted only for four wickets at a strike-rate of 75. However, his economy of 5.66 could be considered decent in a high-scoring series.

It remains to be seen if he gets picked in the World Cup squad now with Shadab Khan looking certain to make it. When asked about the squad for the mega event, Arthur cleared that fitness won’t be compromised. “There will be no compromise on players’ fitness. We will conduct fitness tests around April 14. We will sit down with the selection committee in the next couple of days and make decisions about the World Cup squad,” he said.
