Yasir Shah keen to learn from Shane Warne ahead of England tour

Pakistan leg-spinner Yasir Shah is one of the bowlers who had troubled England in their last series against Pakistan on the tour of UAE. Ahead of the Test series in England, Shah is keen to get some advice from the former Australian legendary leg-spinner, Shane Warne.

The leggie is making his comeback to international cricket and is looking forward to making the most of the opportunity. “I have watched his (Warne’s) videos and also had a chat with him on the telephone because he has an excellent track record in English conditions,” Shah told PTI before the team’s departure for London on Saturday.

“There would be no better place to make a successful comeback to Test cricket than England and I’m looking forward to the first Test at Lords,” he said.

Yasir Shah is coming after the 3-month ban and said that he is also looking forward to cementing his place in the limited-overs side, “Not only the Tests, I also want to cement my place in the limited-over sides,” he said.

The 30-year old said that, even though Pakistan had produced a lot of leg-spinners, but Warne has a great track record on English soil. “I know Pakistan has produced some great leg-spinners but Warne has impressed me with his excellent record in England.”

“I am looking forward to meeting him again in England. And I am looking forward to bowling to the English batsmen in their own backyard it will be a big challenge but I love challenges,” he said.

Shah who had missed the boot camp in Kakul after suffering from a knee problem said that he was delighted that Test skipper Misbah-ul-Haq has shown a lot of faith in his abilities to win matches for Pakistan.
